Description

The critically endangered kiwikiu (Maui parrotbill) is a charismatic Hawaiian honeycreeper that uses its specialized bill to hunt for insects. With less than 150 birds left in the wild, the kiwikiu is on the brink of extinction. This is primarily due to deadly avian diseases that are spread by invasive mosquitoes. To save this species, we need widespread mosquito control. Conservationists are racing the clock to remove mosquitoes from the Hawaiian Islands in order to protect the birds of Hawaiʻi including the kiwikiu.

1.125″ enamel pin with double backing.
