Ian Sherman
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Conservation Biology. This unique program encouraged studies abroad and led me to conduct wildlife research in Belize, Costa Rica, Bhutan, and Oahu. Each and every experience expanded my love for conservation and field research. After graduating, I landed on Maui with Skyline Conservation Initiative, where I worked a duel-role in native ecosystem restoration and ecotourism. This was my first hands-on experience working with plants, bridging the gap in my understanding of the unique flora and fauna present throughout Hawai'i. My passion for wildlife conservation brought me to MFBRP, where I'm grateful to be part of the forest bird team working to support the recovery of these special species.
